Dear Ida,
I ran out of soap for the shower the other day and couldn't
find where my wife was "hiding" the stash. I was
really dirty and sweaty from getting the garden ready for
planting. So, I "stole" the brown bar next to the kitchen
sink. WOW! It really worked great. The best cleaning and
deodorant soap I ever used. My wife yelled at me for taking

| For years I have been buying
all sorts of exfoliating items for my face. My pores are
large and easily get clogged and my facial skin gets a dull
look to it. The exfoliating products were always very
expensive and usually dried out my skin. You recommended the
cornmeal or oatmeal soaps. I liked the cornmeal the best and
my skin looked and felt so much better. But then
you shared your technique with the loofah. The idea of using
loofah on my face was a bit weird, but I decided to give it a
try. |

Just as you said the
loofah in the soap stays pretty soft and I just gently rub in
little circles. When the bar gets too small and there is too
little soap left it gets more scratchy, so then I use it on my
rough heels and start a new bar for my face. I do this
exfoliating routine once or twice a week and the bar lasts
forever. The skin on my face has never looked better. I
don’t even need makeup and my mom says my face has a lovely
glow. You go girl!!

A rich and
soothing soap, this bar is loaded with marsh mallow root, a truly wonderful,
soothing, and healing herb. We infused the herb in sunflower oil
and created a mucilage, by mixing organic marsh mallow root with
organic aloe. We do not filter our mucilage--so you get all of the
benefits of the root and some gentle exfoliation as well.
Marsh mallow root, an emollient rich in vitamins and minerals, has
been used for centuries to soothe, moisturized, and protect dry,
irritated, or inflamed skin. Gentle exotic avocado butter,
unrefined cocoa butter, avocado oil, rice bran oil, and linoleic acid rich sunflower

original Marshmallow candy
was a honey-based candy
thickened with the root of the marsh mallow plant and dates back to
ancient Egypt. Doctors in the 19th century boiled marsh
mallow root, filtered the gelatin-like juice, cooked it with egg
whites and sugar, and then whipped it into a fluffy meringue that
hardened. This concoction was used as a soothing throat lozenge for
children. Until the mid 1800's, marshmallow candy was made using
the marsh mallow plant. Gelatin now replaces the marsh mallow plant.

Our Salt & Seaweed soap turns your tub or shower into a sea water
spa. After your bath or shower your skin will feel silky
smooth, soft, and have a healthy glow. This unusual soap
containing 50% salts, moisturizing Shea butter, and nourishing
seaweed, gently exfoliates and deeply moisturizes your skin.
The minerals in sea water, also found in mineral-rich sea salt, are
known to nourish and heal skin. Salt rubs have been used for
centuries for cleansing and revitalizing dry skin. Knowing the
therapeutic powers of Dead Sea Salts, Cleopatra obtained exclusive
rights to land around the mineral-rich Dead Sea. Seaweed, rich
in minerals, vitamins, amino acids and trace elements, contains
practically every mineral found in seawater; a concentration
virtually identical to the minerals found in human blood.
The essential oil blend is uplifting and refreshing.
Ingredients: Saponified oils of organic coconut,
unrefined Shea butter, babassu, and castor bean;
Mediterranean Sea
salt; Dead Sea salt; organic Aloe vera; filtered rainwater;
Dead
Sea Clay;
Organic Seaweeds (Dulse, Kelp, Nori, and kelp powder);
French Pink clay;
essential oils of lavender, lemongrass, rosemary, peppermint, and
spearmint; Vitamin E oil; and Rosemary Oil extract.

I know you are thinking that these salt bars will be drying
and abrasive, but they are not. I must admit I was VERY
skeptical! I now use this salt bar directly on my face a few
times a week . . . It is like nothing else I have ever used.
My facial skin is very sensitive and there is a wee bit of a
sting from the salt, but the result is smooth, silky skin.

Shea Rose Clay Soap
Loaded with over 35% unrefined shea butter, enriched with mango butter, rose petal oil,
rose hips, rose petals, rose water, French pink clay, aloe, and
coconut milk, Shea Rose Clay is an outstanding facial and body
bar. Rose hips, packed full of Vitamin C and bioflavonoids, have been used by South Americans for generations to
treat dry skin, help reduce signs of premature aging. Mild
French pink clay, beneficial for dry and sensitive skin, gently cleans,
exfoliates, and eliminates clogged pores, while improving
circulation. Coconut milk has been used in
Ayurvedic medicine in India for thousands of years. It
is widely used in spas in India to soothe and nourish the skin. The
blend of essential oils provides a lovely light floral scent as well
as skin nourishing properties. Soothing geranium creates balance
between oily and dry skin. Palmarosa and Ylang Ylang, gentle oils used
in skin care products for acne, dry sensitive or inflamed skin, and
dermatitis, are believed to help dull, mature skin.
Ingredients: Saponified oils of a rose petal
and rose hips infused sunflower and olive blend, virgin unrefined
shea butter, palm, palm kernel, coconut, mango butter, rice bran, and castor bean; rose petal infused
filtered rainwater; coconut milk; organic aloe vera;
French pink clay;
essential oils of geranium, lavender, palmarosa, ylang
ylang, rosewood, and sweet orange;
organic rose petals; rose hips powder;
vitamin E oil; and rosemary oil extract.

Sunflower Citrus Garden
Soap
Spring is in the air and summer is not far behind. Imagine the
crisp clean citrus floral scent of a wispy breeze passing through a
citrus grove and a field of herbs and flowers--the scent is
energizing and uplifting, yet soothing and relaxing. Loaded with
vitamin E rich sunflower oil, one of the most moisturizing vegetable
oils, and loads of unrefined shea nut butter; both are
helpful for delicate, dry, or mature skin. Apricot
Kernel oil, rich in vitamins A, D & E and
in
both oleic acid and linoleic acid, is a
great moisturizing and conditioning oil for mature and sensitive
skin and skin that is inflamed and dry. Aloe vera, used for sun damaged skin, is believed to encourage
skin rejuvenation and promote healing of irritated skin. The citrus
essential oils clean, tone, and revive the skin. The lovely swirl
comes from alkanet root oil, a natural dye and emollient.
Refreshingly sunny, bright, and uplifting, this bar will fill your
shower with the scents of summer.
Ingredients:
Saponified oils of sunflower,
palm, coconut, apricot kernel,
olive, unrefined shea nut butter, palm kernel, castor bean, and
expeller pressed canola;
organic aloe vera;
filtered rainwater;
essential oils of lavender, pink grapefruit, sweet orange, lime,
rosemary, and ylang ylang; alkanet root oil; calendula petals;
cornstarch; and vitamin E oil.

Sweet Basil
Soap
A
creamy soap with a warm sensual scent.
Loaded
with grapeseed oil,
a moisturizing oil rich in linoleic acid,
(also known
as Omega 6), an
essential fatty acid quite important for the skin and the cell
membranes. Oils rich in linoleic acid provide the best
moisturizing properties. Grapeseed Oil is believed to have
skin cell regenerative properties and does not aggravate acne. Avocado and Wheat
Germ oils nourish skin cells and prevents moisture loss. Basil
leaves, with natural anti-bacterial and fungicide action, are
often used on itching skin. An infusion of basil leaves and
flowers has been used to stimulate and refresh dull skin and clear
complexions. Basil essential oil has spicy, herbal aroma
with a warm anise-like scent. The combination of Basil, Rosemary,
and Lavender essential oils refreshes and soothes the skin, mind,
and spirit.
Ingredients: Saponified
oils of a basil infused grapeseed and olive blend, coconut, palm,
palm kernel, avocado, rice bran, cocoa butter, and castor
bean; basil infused
filtered rainwater; organic aloe vera; essential oils of basil, rosemary and

Order individual samples of any of our bar soaps or shampoo bars.
Sample size bars are labeled and weigh approximately 1.5 ounces
each. See individual soaps to order!
Your samples
come packaged in little kraft bags that are labeled. We often
suggest that customers save the bags and use them to make notes
about the individual soaps or shampoos so they which ones they like
and why!

Freshly
cut samples may be very soft, especially in humid weather!
Our samples are often odd sizes and shapes and
sometimes the ends (which are often larger).
